What should you know before undertaking a training period abroad?
1. information on the insurance which covers all mobility phases
2. information on the budget and expenses which your family should incur
3. information on the host training organisation: training offer, size, location, support training activities, content of the Learning Agreement, the training programme, how and when carrying out the programme, etc.
4. information on the education & training system of the host country, the evaluation procedures, the recognition of the path carried out abroad, the allocation of possible credit points, the possibility to get further certifications
5. practical arrangements (accommodation, local transports, budget, etc.)
6. linguistic/cultural/professional information concerning materials arranged before the departure and collected during the linguistic, pedagogic and cultural preparation
7. counselling and guidance activities provided by the supervisor
8. information on being able to present your CV and highlight both the formal path previously carried out in your own country and your informal and non formal technical, organizational and cross competences.

Where can you get the information?
1. the sending and/or host organization should provide specific guidelines or organize meetings
2. you can visit the websites dealing with detailed information on the training period abroad

What is the legislative framework?
The following documents should be prepared:
1. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
2. Learning Agreement
3. Contract in which are established:
a. mutual rights and duties
b. duration of the training period and the description of the training programme
c. causes for rescission
d. funding and trainee's individual contribution
e. monitoring and control
4. insurance covering the whole training period
5. you should also provide the valid documentation to stay in a foreign country (identity card/passport, health card, etc.); in case you are an immigrant you should obtain the Visa by the police authority.
