The host organisation usually provides counselling services for students or involves the supervisor who can partially perform this role.
The coordinators in charge of counselling services can:
- provide additional services, in particular pertaining to the language and the culture
- guide the student in choosing the subjects; they play an important role in supporting the student when he/she wants to change the training programme; informing him/her on the opportunity to continue the studies or to find a job in the host country
- provide assistance in administrative and/or logistical matters
- directly provide personal and/or psychological support or contact appropriate counsellors
- support the student in using self-learning methods by E-learning.
